To date I’ve personally spent upwards of $3,000 on Facebook Ads. In the grand scheme of things…that’s no money at all, but when you’re a solopreneur, startup or just getting your knuckles wet in entrepreneurship, every penny counts.

If you are like me you read articles on articles teaching you strategies behind facebook. Then you have to read in the footer that ‘results aren’t guaranteed’ or an excerpt on how Facebook changed their algorithms, making it harder for new companies to squeeze. ….the good ol days.

There are definitely duplicatable techniques but it will cost you another 1 year to learn or $1000.00 to buy. I’ve been there.

So how come many companies are winning. More companies are actually spending less and getting a decent return on investment than not and it’s not a secret anymore. Most have huge ad spend dollars which startup entrepreneurs just cannot compete with. So what do you do?

I’ve written many blog articles on self improvement, created a product that people want and need (and willing to buy). I’ve also applied top notch SEO to the whole thing and now I just need the push to profit.

But if you’re like me you might be better at design, writing, blogging, podcasting, sharing ideas than you are at marketing. You might be great at sales, follow up and closing clients ..not lead generation. It’s totally understandable and that’s why you haven’t filled your pipeline.

Gary Vaynerchuk will attest, you have to jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, and jab before you go in for the Mike Tyson punch, punch. This all takes time. This means keep growing your audience, finding your niche and connecting and adding value to them. You can do this through mediums such as Medium , YouTube, podcasting, LinkedIn, just to name a few. Think about it…once you fill your pipeline through guerilla marketing efforts, what will they read, buy, learn?

It took a solid year for me to build content around my company, The Comfort Killers which is ongoing and never ending. It’s just the name of the game.

I am inviting you to my next feature interview with expert social media marketer, Billy Gene of Billy Gene Is Marketing Inc., which is taking place LIVE via a webinar platform so that you can ask the questions that are specific to your business and to your level of understanding.

I suck at #marketing and that’s why I wanted to change my strategy by learning from someone that actually DOES it LIVE and not hold back information or leave out important parts.

This is a FREE webinar but I’m sorry to break it to you, money has to be spent on advertising but what I cant assure you is I will ask the questions that we all want to know…

  • Facebook, Google or YouTube?
  • How much is enough for an ROI
  • How important is Email Marketing?
  • How to grab attention with copy?
  • And YOUR questions!
