The “5am” Struggle
Well…4:30am for me lol. Let’s face it, getting up at 5am everyday..even on weekends is a struggle. But if you can make it past the first 5 minutes of getting up, you can completely crush your day and live on purpose. I’ve been reading and implementing the book The Miracle Morning By Hal Elrod. Here are some things I do to get my day going..
- I get up at 4:30am & chug down a full glass of water & my power drink (Hot apple cider vinegar w/Cayenne pepper. Big metabolism booster)
- Prayer & Meditation
- Self Affirmations
- Go over my schedule for the day and write my goals and targets down. *Get into that habit of writing your goals down twice a day & reviewing them throughout the day
- I’ll read a chapter of a current book I’m reading. Right now it’s Multi Family Millions by Dave Lindahl
- Off to the gym for an hour
I feel great by the time I’m done with it all and it really sets the tone of my day. I make it home in time to finish a couple of things before the house gets up. It’s important to press through whatever negative feelings we have in the morning and focus on making the day ahead great. We all have off days, but shake it off and get back to it. There is so much greatness that can be had during the day, but of course how you start it determines that 🙂 Let’s all make being a part of the 5am club a regular thing
